About Underdog... Underdog is a Canadian C&C 35 Mk1. Underdog has raced the Bayview Mackinac over 18 years with Cameron Paine as skipper, several crew have over 20 years experience. Underdog was 1st in Division II and the Corinthian Trophy Winner in 2025. Underdog placed first in class in 2025, 2024, 2022 and 2019. We look forward to another competitive one design race. The orginal Underdog was written off by fire in 2023. The current Underdog was previously named Ruffian was purchased in 2023. Ruffian had previously raced in over 30 mackinacs with a first in class finish by previous owner Bill Noakes. Anissa Noakes, Bill's daughter has been racing with the Underdog crew for over 10 years, as well Anissa has over 17 Bayview mackinacs on Underdog / Ruffian.
