About Pirate... Pirate sailed it's first Mac Race in 2012, which was the year Commodore Jeff Henderson was Commodore of Bayview Yacht Club. Commodore Jeff Henderson also served as Commodore in 2005 of North Star Sail Club and 1999 and 2000 of ABYRA. (Anchor Bay Yacht Racing Association) andDRYA Commodore in 2023. With 45+Mack Races under his belt, he and his seasoned crew who each have more than 30 years of sailing experience and boast 6 old goats, We plan on a great race! Commodore Henderson says "Pirate will have a strong finish in 2024 if we sail the boat hard and make good decisions based upon the weather forecast”. The boat Pirate was Launched in France and delivered to British Virgin Islands, where she was in charter for several years before being brought to the United States, eventually finding her home in the Great Lakes.
