About Gauntlet... The 2024 Gauntlet season is dedicated to our Skipper Guy Hiestand who passed away in November of 2023. Once you sailed with Guy you were part of his adventure, and he shared that adventure with many crew members on his various boats. The Gauntlet program continues Guy's adventure through sailing in the 100th running of the Bayview to Mackinac race. Gauntlet is a Nelson/Merek 52 sailing out of Macatawa Yacht Club. The crew has sailed many Bayview and Chicago races together and is looking forward to this year’s race, after missing last year. The crew of Gauntlet will wear a tribute to Guy in every regatta we participate in this year, we hope to make him proud.
