About Desilou... I will be sailing "Desilou" sail number of 1821. She was formerly known as Split Decision out of Chicago Yacht Club that raced in several Chicago to Mackinac races. Although Desilou sailed in the 2022 Bayview to Mac race and the 2023 Chicago to Mac race, I and half of the crew still consider ourselves new to Great Lakes sailing. I and half of the crew originate from California and competed in several blue water sailing races that include Transpacific Races and Newport (Beach) to Ensenada. We have since also raced on Jumpen Jack Flash (a Lorre Davidson 50) in the Marin and Newport to Bermuda races. This year our crew will be supplemented with several experienced Great Lakes sailors from Cleveland, Ohio.
