| About Northern Spy... |
Northern Spy is a Dufour 45E built in 2009 launched in 2010. She was located in the Netherlands when the owner saw her for sale. Shipped across the ocean she arrived in Detroit in May 2015. The owner having Dutch heritage gave her the sail number NED (Netherlands) and 131 (hull #). Regarding the boat's name, the owner's brother (who was born in the Netherlands) has a red hulled boat that is the color of a MacIntosh, apple not computer. So keeping it in the family, Northern Spy is also named for an apple.
