"SIROCCO - USA 34"

This is Team Sirocco's 4th time competing in the Bayview Mac Race, and first time doing the race on the J/160 SIROCCO. Sirocco will be doing the Bayview Mac, the Chicago Mac, and the Trans Superior race this year competing in the Barthel Tri-Lakes Challenge. Sirocco is a real family boat with two father and son pairs, a father/daughter pair, and a pair of identical twins on board! What's more, two of the fathers are brothers(Patrick & Larry), and so two of the father's children (Mary & Jim) are first cousins. This will be the first Mac race for Mary Hilliard, Andrea Mazur, and Nicole Mazur, and the first Bayview Mac for William Klairmont (who has done 2 Chicago Macs before).

The skipper Bob Klairmont grew up sailing with his mother and father and has sailed all of his life as well. Bob did his first Chicago Mac race in 1972 with his parents aboard the yacht Elaine May. Since then Bob has done 22 Chicago Mac races, one Trans Superior race, 3 Bayview Mac Races, 22 Queen's Cup races, 4 Hundred Miler races, one The Hook race, several SORC races, hundreds of buoy races and more. Bob, Patrick, and Larry are thrilled to be sailing with their sons & daughters on this great race!
