About Sirocco... This is Team Sirocco's 6th time competing in the Bayview Mac Race. The skipper Bob Klairmont grew up sailing with his mother and father and has sailed all of his life. Bob did his first Chicago Mac race in 1972 with his parents aboard the yacht Elaine May. Since then Bob has done 25 Chicago Mac races, three Trans Superior races, 5 Bayview Mac Races, one Barthel Tri-Lakes Challenge, 26 Queen's Cup races, 5 Hundred Miler races, one The Hook race, several SORC races (in the 1970's), hundreds of buoy races, hundreds of boat deliveries on the water to and from races and lots of cruising and more. Bob is thrilled to be sailing in this great race!
