About Valkyrie...
Oyster 53 "Valkyrie" was purchased in Annapolis and sailed to Lake Erie in 2021. Since then, she has earned blue flags in the Mills Trophy Race, ILYA-Bayweek, and numerous other races. This will be her first Mack Race for both her and captain. Captained by Jake Burgy -Owner: Lake Erie Sailing Charters -100ton Master License -Captained sailing yachts throughout the FL Keys -Completed the "Great American Loop" in 2018-2019. Joined by: Duane Burgoyne -17 MAC races - 32 Mills Races -8 Queens Races. Paul Buehrer -USCoastGuardCaptain 25Ton Inland -Great Loop 2018-2019. Mike Joseph -60 Years of sailing experience. Greg Normand -Sailed for more than 50 years and produce a sailing show entitled Inside Great Lakes Sailing We are looking forward to racing in the 100th!
