About Charrette... Other than the PIC/Owner, Charrette's crew is all under 30 years old and consists of men and women who are current and former sailing instructors at the Ephraim Yacht Club in Door County, WI. Each of us have done at least one significant distance race. Charrette's crew does things "the Charrette way” which sometimes is very different from the way that other teams do things. For example, our crew is always young and we always sail mixed. The PIC/owner rarely touches the wheel and spends most of his time on tactics, coaching the crew, navigation and meal prep. Everyone steers and most can do every position on the boat. Charrette's crew are good sailors, but they are even better people and are fun to be around so be certain to look for them at the Pink Pony on Mackinac Island after the race.
