About Freyja...
Freyja is a 1999 Nelson Marek built for local Cheryl Cameron who holds the Port Huron to Mac single-handed record in her. Freyja is crewed by Michael Tobey and Erik Thorleifson who have sailed together on four Chicago to Mac races. They are both Marine Corps veterans and started the sailing charity, Raider Sailing, that focuses on growing the sport of sailing and improving the lives of combat veterans through sailing therapy.
