About Accipiter...
Accipiter is a 1996 home built Farrier Trimaran. Although the boat has participated in many Mackinac races before, this is a first time for her owners Mike Garam and his wife Tiffany since acquiring Accipiter in 2016. Based in Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie, Mike and Tiffany have raced and cruised Accipiter in Michigan, Massachusetts, and Florida. Coming off of a recent win at the 100th running of the Mills Trophy race, they are excited and honored to be participating in this 100th running of the Bayview Mackinac Race. They look forward to competing against a difficult fleet of experienced sailors and their vessels. Cheers!
